Ware Middle School Principal

Mrs. Thompson has worked in the Ware Public Schools Learning Community for 19 years. She began as a Special Education Preschool Teacher and  Early Childhood Coordinator, she spent 5 years Assistant Principal at Stanley M. Koziol Elementary School, and joined the Ware Middle School as Principal in 2021.

Mrs. Thompson’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from Wheelock College in Elementary/Early Childhood Education, Massachusetts State Certification in Special Education Moderate Disabilities Prek-8th grade, Massachusetts Administrator’s Licensure Prek-6 from MESPA, the Massachusetts Elementary School Principal’s Association, and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction Grades 1-6 through Lesley University.

Mrs. Thompson said, “As part of the administrative team I want to ensure that we create a warm and welcoming environment which allows our students to feel safe and gives all students the opportunity to become active members of our community. With the collaboration of staff, students, and parents our mission to support and educate children will be successful!”

Ware Middle School Assistant Principal

 searsMrs. Megan Sears is the new Assistant Principal at Ware Middle School.

 Mrs. Sear has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Salve Regina University in RI, along with an Advanced Certificate as a School Adjustment/Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Master’s Degree in School Guidance Counseling from Cambridge College in MA.  Mrs. Sears was an English Teacher in Belchertown Public Schools for 9 years.  She completed her student teaching in the Tantasqua Regional and Quaboag Regional School Districts before becoming a Guidance Counselor at Paul E. Baird Middle School in Ludlow.  Most recently, Mrs. Sears was a Guidance Counselor at North Brookfield Junior-Senior High School.


Mrs. Sears lives with her husband and two children. As a family they enjoy camping and being outside. They have two dogs, Nico and Caesar, and a cat, Ninja.
