Principal's Message

April 27, 2020

Dear Parents, Caregivers and Students,

With the announcement of school closures across Massachusetts, we fully understand both the added pressure and strain that parents and guardians are feeling as the pandemic enters its seventh week. Not only is safety a concern, but you have become educational heroes, learning new educational platforms and systems. In this challenging time, we are here to support you, your family and the Ware  community.

The countless hours of setting schedules, assisting with homework, working within the framework of Google classrooms and keeping your children focused has been a struggle. We appreciate every minute of your efforts.  Our reality Is ever present around us, especially in news reports both local and national. What has transpired was unthinkable six months ago. As we have spoken with families and friends of our students, there is an ever present anxiety that exists. The most encouraging message that our children have heard are not of the bad news surrounding the coronavirus, but the messages of hope and love from those around them.

Love and comfort are present in Ware and the community is strong.  We have heard how you have built forts in the living room, sat on the floor to play board games and watch movies On homemade screens, read together or simply snuggled under blankets.

Throughout the world, family members are doing their best to bring comfort to their students. One thing that we have learned is that we are much more similar than different, we share the same dreams for our children and their respective futures. Hopefully when this is all over, we live in a much more appreciative and peaceful world.

If you need extra support, do you have a call from the counselor or member of administration, please do not hesitate to call. We are more than willing and grateful to be able to assist you.  Even though the physical school year is over, school is still in session and we will continue this journey with you to support your child’s mental, physical and inner growth through our academic systems of support and socioemotional support systems.

This week we will begin our student locker distribution.  Please see the schedule below to pick belonging.  We will be practicing social distancing measures during this time.   Distribution will be 10:30am-1:30pm on the dates below:
